12/29/2023 0 Comments Horizon zero dawn spear upgrade![]() That wraps up my instructions for getting a better Spear in Horizon Zero Dawn. Pick up some of these skills when your level allows it, and you'll be well on your way to being a lean, mean, melee machine. ![]() Fighting Back: Heavy Spear attacks deal more damage when your health is low.Knock Down: Heavy Spear attacks knock machines down faster.Precision +: Light Spear attacks have a greatly increased chance of knocking off armor and components. While not overflowing with humans, the latters world feels alive, something that can not be said about Automata s. The formers gameplay is closer to the combo-based combat of Devil May Cry than Horizon Zero Dawn s third-person shooter style. Precision: Light Spear attacks have an increased chance of knocking of armor and components In truth, NieR: Automata is not particularly similar to Horizon Zero Dawn. Here are the skills you'll want to pick up: None of them will actually increase the damage of your Spear any further, but they will make you much more effective in melee combat so you get a few more high-damage licks in. There are lots of melee skills available in your Skills menu. Now that you've got your Damage Boost, you'll need to pick up a few extra skills to really maximize how much havoc you can wreak in close quarters. Step 2: Unlock Precision and Melee Skills He'll give you a Spear Damage Boost as a reward. Take out the Scrapper by whatever means necessary and loot its body to update the quest.Īfter you've got the Spear, return it to Thok. After you've found her, you'll need to get your hands on a Spear that's been stolen by a nearby Scrapper. Head to the mission area and use your focus to find/follow the young girl's tracks. You'll come across a wounded hunter named Thok, who asks you to go out and find his missing daughter. This side quest can be picked up pretty early in the game. Step 1: Complete the "In Her Mother's Footsteps" Side Quest To increase the amount of damage your Spear can do, you'll need to complete a side quest and grab some extra skills when your level allows it. Upgrading Your Spear in Horizon Zero Dawn And combining that with a few key skills can make you a deadly melee fighter in no time. ![]() Luckily for you, it is possible to upgrade your Spear so that it can at least keep up with the more powerful enemies you'll be facing in Horizon Zero Dawn's late game. The spear that you start with is the spear you're stuck with for the entire game. Unlike your other weapons, you cannot upgrade your Spear by buying a new one from a merchant. This will net us the First Spear Modification-trophy and conclude this errand. But as wonderful as your Spear is, at a certain point in the game, it becomes much less effective because of its low base stats. Once you have obtained the Mod, head over to the Crafting tab and upgrade your spear like any other weapon (just that spear Mod’s are unique and can’t be used on weapons – and weapon Mod’s can’t be used on the spear.) He will give us a Spear Modification Box, which we have to open from the Inventory (under Treasure Boxes). Climb out of the Hangar on the right side and use fast-travel to get back to the settlement nice and fast. Our journey will be briefly interrupted by a Demonic Stalker, but he can be dealt with quite easily. Once we have obtained it, we can now climb the dividing wall and head out of the hangar. The part we are looking for is located on it’s front-left side. Now, we have to navigate through some narrow shafts and will eventually reach the other drone in this hangar. Use your focus to see the correct solution (right / down / right). To continue our errand, we have to use the drone to jump in the other direction, though and we will see another one of the Halo-door-puzzles. To the right of the drone is a platform with a Banuk Figurine – grab it, while you’re already here. The drone can now be used to climb up and proceed. With those, you will reach another platform, where you can activate a console to move the drone to the right side. You will see a ladder on the ride side – climb up to reach some other yellow climbing points on the ceiling which were inaccessible before. Inside the Hangar, Aloy has to solve two short puzzles in order to reach the desired part. For this, we have to travel up north quite a bit (or use fast-travel, if you’ve been there before) and rappel down into the Drone Hangar. He notices our spear and tells us where to find upgrade parts for it. Talk to the Shaman Kamut just a little to the north of Song’s Edge. ![]() This errand can be accepted just a few minutes into the game – after finishing the first side quest.
